BRIEF HISTORY OF KTD SINGH POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY

A small unit of Tripura Police was setup named as Police Training School for training of the Police constables and other personnel in 1955.

Police Training College was established on May 01, 1967 at A.D Nagar. 

It was shifted from A.D Nagar to Narsingarh, Tripura on September 23, 1985.

It was renamed as the KTD Singh Police Training College in memory of late KTD Singh, Ex-DGP, Tripura Police on June 24, 2009.

KTD Singh police Training College, Narsingarh was upgraded to the KTD Singh Police Training Academy on September 17, 2011 in pursuance of Govt. of Tripura, Home Dept. letter No. F.1 (47)-PD/2008 Dated- 17/09/2011.
